The review that said that these were poor quality is several years old, and the manufacturer has definitely improved them since then. These are very sturdy, air-tight canisters and they are very nice quality for the money. I was looking at a set that cost triple the money, and these are plainer but similar in durability. I like them so much I'm ordering a second set. They look very nice with stainless appliances.
